Quick Air Fryer Pesto Salmon
In need of a quick simple dinner? Look no further than this Quick Air Fryer Pesto Salmon.
This is a perfect week night meal that comes together in a flash. Bonus its less than 5 ingredients if you buy premade pesto at the store! You need salmon fillets, pesto, parmesan cheese, garlic powder and dried parsley. Thats it!
If you don’t have an air fryer it can also be baked in the oven no problem. Just preheat oven to 400 degrees Farenheit and bake 10-15 minutes depending on the size of your fillets and level of doneness you prefer. I tend to prefer mine medium with a small hint of translucent pink in the middle. But I highly suggest you invest in an air fryer, it is a jack of all trades and can cook foods much quicker and get a golden sear easier than in an oven.
To make this Quick Air Fryer Pesto Salmon, simply pat dry your salmon filets with a paper towel. Generously season each filet with garlic powder and dried parsley. Gently spoon on the pesto and top with parmesan cheese. In a pinch you can use grated powdered parmesan cheese, otherwise known as “shaky cheese” in our house. But if you have a block of fresh parmesan you can grate that on top for a much fresher, flavorful taste. Throw this in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 7-9 minutes, or in the oven at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes, depending on the size of your fillet and your desired level of doneness.
This Quick Air Fryer Pesto Salmon can go great over a simple salad with mozzarella and tomato think caprese style or a perfect addition to buttered noodles! It can even be served plain with a few sides. This Quick Air Fryer Pesto Salmon is a great way to change it up and try a new combination of flavors that you might not typically have together.
